pan/crop on Z axis for 3-D look?

I've got a still photograph of a family in front of a TV that is sitting at an angle. I'm using the pan/crop to superimpose a film clip so that it looks like its appearing on the TV screen.

However, I haven't been able figure out how to position the clip in the "Z axis" in order to match it up squarely over the TV screen.

I want to be able to manipulate this clip in 3-D, simiar to how you can in the fly in/fly out transition. Any suggestions?

Also, is it possible to manipulate the shape of clip, beyond being a square or rectangle? It'd be great if I can curve out the edges for a perfect fit.

Thanks.

Here's a thought: make a copy of the still, and use a paint program or PhotoShop or something to make the TV screen area solid blue (or green, or whatever), then put this on an upper track, and use the chromakey effect to let your video on the lower track show through (properly shrunk down and positioned "behind" the TV screen). I did this on a project a couple months ago, and it worked out really well, but the TV in my photo was straight on -- not on an angle.

If you use a paint program and generate a pure blue mask (ie blue=255, red=0, green=0), you can use a really tight band on the chromakey function, and not have to worry about somebody's blue eyes or clothes keying out as well.

This works really well as far as making it look like the image is on the TV, but again, the angle of your set might cause problems. I don't know if you could use one of the 3-d transitions stretched out really long to give you a 3-d angle effect?

In my project, I even used the "TV video noise" effect (I don't remember what its actually called -- maybe its a media generator?) to put some TV static in between clips.
