Pan crop & track motion issue

I need to have a Google map marker drop onto a map to indicate a location. I can't get the size and the action to do what I want. First off the marker is too large, even though the image is only 200x334 in a 1920x1080 project. I open pan crop, match output aspect, and pull it as wide as it can go. But it's still too large. I know if I don't match aspect, and shrink it down by pan crop, I can get it the size I want but not in the position. I also I know that I can shrink it down further via track motion but then when I use the push down effect, it is not coming from off the screen but from the edge of the shrunken track. Any suggestions?

Also, is there a preset "bounce" transition anywhere? Like when it hits the spot, it compresses and then bounces back up to normal size. Thanks

Paul

In Pan/Crop, set the width & height parameters to match the project 1920x1080. This will start out with the image at 200x334, centered in the frame. If you want to make it even smaller then you can increase the width & height, but make sure you keep them in a 16:9 ratio.

You can then drag the cropping frame around to move the pointer.

It would only go to 1600x900. Your suggestion made me figure a work around. I created a 1920x1080 transparent png in Photoshop and pasted the marker in it. Then it worked fine. Thanks Kelly!
