I have made an indie film with my DVX100 and don't regret it. Excellent color, many many manual override settings which my DP, who owns his own Arriflex & lenses, loves. Also, we did some exteriors on a very cold, snow/rain dreary day and there was no condensation when we took it inside. Finally, the XLR mike inputs, built into the camera body unlike the competition, is rock steady and I actually used it to process my sound track. (Editing on Vegas 4, of course.) Also, the 4.0b update includes a custom-designed compatibility with the DVX100.
