panasonic dvc80 compatible?

I'm considering vegas 5 as an editing software and want to know if my Panasonic ag-dvc80 is compatible for dv capture. I see on sony's list that the pana 100a is compatible and the dvc 80 is very much the same camera.

Anyway, I think Vegas would capture just plain DV. I'm not 100% sure though. Hopefully someone has used it & knows (you'd need a DVC80 codec for the HQ footage to be used in Vegas if captured with a different program).

The DVC80 is the DVX100 minus 24p capability....and YES it will work fine with Vegas Capture.

Thanks for the response. I'm not familiar with the dvc50 but the dvc80 is a 3 1/3" ccd camera with built in xlr inputs. It seems to be a pretty nice camera--I just got it though and haven't had a lot of time to spend with it. Yes it is like the DVX100. Thanks again,
