sorry for my ignorance but i can't seem to find this info...will vegas capture 24p from the dvx100a ? ...

Vegas was the first NLE to be able to do this so the answer is yes.
The free 24p and Panasonic AG-DVX100 and AJ-SDX900 White Paper available from the Downloads link at the top of this page spells out exactly how this is done.

Vegas absolutly excell at working with DVX100 24 P. Use 24 P advanced mode.

BTW, recording is always in 29,97 i. The camcorder put a flag identifying 24 p on the stream and Vegas interpret it perfectly. You can capture with any other software also (i work with the excellent Scenalyser).

thanks as always...just wanted to make sure ... got a great deal on a dvx100a...i have premiere 1.5 and i knew that did 24p but i use vegas more and just needed to double check...
