Panning and Zooming tools not showing for Pan/Crop Fx

Vegas 15 build 361. Windows 10 Pro.

In my project I rendered down a track to a new track. Now with the new track event, when I click the Event Pan/Crop button none of the Pan/Crop tools are showing - The handles for zooming, panning and the big "F" in the center are all missing. None of my other track events have this problem.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Update:

Looking closer at the problem, the one thing different about this track render was that the source was from a track that had two clips with emptiness between them. I thought perhaps that might be an issue (just a wild guess) so I did the render again but filled the empty space using a track below from a different camera (I simply unmuted the track below). This time the new rendered track had all the Pan/Crop tools in place.

Well I thought I had this resolved. I rendered a new track, from a different source, and the same problem is happening with this one too.

Something weird about this. Can you share a screen shot? What steps did you use to render a new track?

(Nothing really magical about rendering to a new track - Vegas just renders a file as usual and names it " "track_something"and places it on a new track. You could do the same thing manually in just about the same amount of time. Which might be a solution?)

I figured it out. It turns out that when bringing up the Pan/Crop form it was defaulting to Mask in the timeline. All I had to do was select Position and, voila, the zoom and pan tools show up. 😂
