You can also do this by right clicking on the event and select pan and crop.

read up on keyframes. instead of moving the track, move the camera. there is an excellent explanation in the VV3 manual.

click on the Event Pan/Crop button that is visible on the clip. at the bottom of the Event Pan/Crop window, you can see the Timeline for just the image clip. add keyframe by pressing the button. then change the position of 'camera'. zoom in, move from left to right, whatever you want. and you don't have to move in a line. you can set as many keyframes as you want and have the camera go to anywhere on the clip. up, down, in, out, spin it around. i love it.
