Panning video event

I'm trying to make a montage and create panning/zooming effects via the video events button. Sometimes when I try to do a zoom say from a close up of the right corner of a picture and I have it zoom out to reveal the rest of the image, the image seems to zoom out a bit without moving first and then it starts zooming out and revealing the rest of the image, if that makes any sense.

This creates a weird effect to me, like a camera zooming out and then panning downwards. My day job requires me to be a FCP user there and I do this kind of work on a weekly basis so jumping back into Vegas at home to do something similar always throws something at me I can't figure out.

I'm sure it's a relatively easy thing.

it's the motion type that vegas is using. with the keyframe selected, you'll notice a setting on the left of the pan/crop window called "smoothness". 100% = smooth, 0% = not smooth at all. Think of it as biezer curves where 0% is a polygon & 100% is rounded.

Maybe you have 2 keys on top of each other move the top and delete the bottom one

Thanks guys, the smoothness option fixed it up. I had tried it last night but didn't notice a difference...works fine now anyway.
