Alan's note about "layering" the grass is a great tip.

Also, try the combined "Grass and Mist" sample. It gives a neat view into what you CAN do with Pi.

thanks for the head-up grazie. i'm still a novice with pi, and probably not likely to progress much further since i really don't have any use for it - but boy oh, boy, if i was still doing corporate / tvc work, it'd be a killer app.

If you like the grass look at "meadow" in previous libraries. It's got bits of pollinating stuff that make your eyes itch. Add that to the waters edge and watch it grow.
