Paste Attributes!

Well! I've finally drilled through enough to use the above facility. Yes, we've got paint format in WORD - NOW we have the equivalent in V4 - EXCELLENT!

Now being able to "carry-over" some tricky formatting to other clips does 2 major things for me:

1 - My workflow will be smoothed

2 - I can now ensure a "style" to what I do

Thanks again SoFo and AGAIN the V4 programmers

The only problem with copy attributes (and paste) is that it copies keyframes, too. I can't imagine that keyframes should be identical from one clip to another, the clips aren't even the same length, usually.

Hmmm... "I can't imagine that keyframes should be identical from one clip to another" and the point you are making is exactly what? That I should not be using this facility? I should be aware that Keyframe position will be in the exact same position and therefore not create a style I'm hoping for? Or is it, wcoxe1 , something else? - However, if the clips are the same length then the effect would be repeated. Yeah, the more I read what you've said, the more I'm wondereing why you said it.

Hat's Off to SoFo for this facility. Remarkable s/w

I am puzzled by your comments. All I was stating is that I, personaly, would have preferred a way to paste WITH or WITHOUT the keyframes. As it is, I occasionally end up having to delete all the keyframes.

I suppose there is a way around it, by planning well ahead, but sometimes, I, like many, don't quite think that far ahead.

I don't begrudge you what you value. I also value it.

Ah, I didn't get, "All I was stating is that I, personaly, would have preferred a way to paste WITH or WITHOUT the keyframes. " from your post. Seems like I neat idea. Oh yes me to: more flexibility more creativity more understanding needed.

Do I plan ahead what I'm going to do? Errmmmm . . .sometimes, sometimes I leap in feet first and make all sorts of mistakes - BUT! Then there are those super "WOWs!!" that happen. I couldn't live without these "happy" occasions.

Errrmmmm... Howzabout deleting the k/fs in the k/f track? Only a thought.

Thanks for your feedback - I do read very closely what people say. Often there is the "germ" of an idea within what people write - Keep it up Matey!
