paste attributes of text media?

Hi to all,

I'm currently working on a small project whereby I have 60 consecutive text objects, that basically count down from 60 to 0.

Now, I created each of them with a slight glow and of course had to number each one individually, 60, 59, 58, 57, so on and so on........

Well, I got to the end and then decided that I didn't like the glow and then had to tediously go through each one and change the glow settings, all the time thinking, there has to be a better way....

Well, is there? Maybe a function like the "paste attributes" tool that I can apply to multiple selected media? A script possibly?

Cheers,

TeeJay

Set up the first one to be the way you want, then copy it to the clipboard. Select all the other events, then right-mouse-button click on one of them and choose "Paste Event Attributes".

Thanks for your super quick reply, but unfortunately "paste event attributes" does not apply to text media fx properties, such as glow, colour etc.
It will only change, Audio event pitch shift, Video event playback rate and undersample rate, Video event effects and effect keyframes, Video event pan/crop settings and Video event velocity envelopes.

How about making a .veg file containing the text media you want (delete everything but one of the wanted text media events in the project and save to a different name is one way), then open a second instance of Vegas containing the original project, load that veg and C&P to the other instance of Vegas?

Not as elegant as you're looking for but maybe a viable work-around.

EDIT: After re-thinking this, that's of no help, you could simply C&P the same event from within the same project and still be faced with changing the text in each event, sorry my bad. If the parameter (glow) is exposed to scripting you may be able to ask for a script to do what you want in the script forum or here.
