Paste Event Attribues not working after Excalibur

Hi,

I used 4 clips + Excalibur multicam funktion to get a new track.
I then copied this new track to a new project.
It now consist of many crossfaded clips and each clip has the 4 "takes" stored too.

I cropped the first clip and then "copied" the clip and tried to paste event attributes into the next (crossfaded) clip to get the same crop.
I does not work. What can be wrong?

I imported some "plain" AVI clips in the same Vegas project and did the same and the past event worked fine.

Is there some trouble of "paste event attributes" with stuff that Excalibur has "merged"?

Regards
Per

Excalibur doesn't do anything except create standard Vegas events. So, your answer is no: Excalibur does NOT do anything to cause problems with pasting event attributes.

To figure out what might be going on, it would be useful to see the actual project and complete details as to what you are doing. The best way to contact me for help is through my website

jetdv,

thanks for offer, I found out what caused the problem.
If one groups clips (and perhaps even inter-track...) the Paste Event Attributes does not work, even if Vegas clearly indicates that you selected only one clip for pasting - it looks like they weren't grouped.
How much trouble would that be for Sony displaying a message "You cannot paste event attrib. for grouped clips, ungroup them and try again"... ??

BTW, how do you know what is grouped and not? A group of clips does not "light up" when ONE of them is selected. Compare with Illustrator or similar s.w. where actually the GROUP is selected if ONE of the group members is selected.

The only way I found that shows what a group consists of is the SHIFT+G - which is not that clever as just selecting all group memebers when selecting one - who can it more simple than that?
