Paste Options

I just upgraded to Vegas Pro 23 and am having issues with pasting copied items in the timeline. It worked well in the previous versions. I have text that I want to copy and modify. When I go to paste the item and get the Paste Options, the selection defaults to "Create a reference to the original media" and "Create a new copy of the source media" cannot be selected. However, when pasted, it's a new copy of the media. It won't create a reference to the source media.

I think they do the selection just conversely as usual.
The circle button with a black dot is selected.

@bhop

No problem here selecting either option, although in version 21 it's obvious which option is selected.

What your example shows is that "Create a new copy of source media" is selected. Not sure why you would have problem selecting the second option. Are you using a mouse to select options?

@bhop this confused me at first too. In your image, "Create a new copy of the source media" is selected. I agree it looks "backwards" but, if you look up how windows does radio buttons, it's the one with the dot in it that really is the selected one. I think the black background is what makes it feel backwards.

The problem I am having is not being able to change the selection. It is stuck on referencing the source media and won't allow me to select copy of the source. The picture I used is how it comes up by default which is opposite previous versions.

Actually, it's the SAME as previous versions. I can click on the solid white dot and then the black center will move to it meaning it's now selected. Here's with Reference selected:

I'm a bonehead. I wasn't clicking on the button itself. It is working properly.
