pasting in Vegas

Is there any way to paste all of a track from one version of vegas into another? I mean motion settings, etc. The whole nine yards.

Nope (unfortunately).

Best you can do on the track motion keyframes is copy/paste them from one project to another. It's not obvious that you can do this... but just open the track motion "control" and then drag-select all the keyframes. Then copy/paste to your track in the other project.
