i know, i know, it's an impossible situation, but how are people handling creating colour balanced dvd's that will be seen on both computers and on regular tv's?

Leslie, I don't have the definitive (technical) answer, but I have found that when the colour is "balanced" for the television monitor, be it PAL or NTSC, it will look just as good as it does when viewed on a computer monitor. However, this does not work in the opposite.

The best way (least bias) to see this is to take a commercially produced (Hollywood-type) DVD and watch it on a regular television. Then pop it into your computer's DVD drive and watch it. See what I mean?

I've found this to be true with all DVDs when the colour is properly balanced.

[EDIT] This presumes one has both monitors set/adjusted correctly!
