peak files being rebuilt unnecessarily?

Anyone else notice that peak files are being rebuilt whenever a veg file is opened that has already been opened in V6 having its peak file already created.
Correct me if I am wrong but this should only have to happen once - assuming the main file is not moved in relation to the peak file (still in same directory - that is)

Are you 100% sure you didn't open a version 5 veg?

well they are all V5 vegs but I had opened them up in V6 yesterday when peak files were built
- what I am thinking now is that because I re-installed everything in the past two weeks, and because I didn't get all the plugs re-installed that were required for those veg files that Vegas is re-evaluating the files each time because I tell it to ignore initial requests to find the plugs..
Anyway I now realize this may be a non-problem
