Performance Test Mode

Neat Video Version 4 has a really cool feature that, when selecting to render by CPU only, GPU only, both, and also specifying the number of cores to use, it will run performance tests on all possible configurations to give you which result had the highest FPS. It would be nice if Vegas could incorporate a similar feature so we could choose the optimal settings for various encoding templates, timeline performance with a specific set of filters being used, etc. so we could know whether GPU acceleration is helping, how much RAM to use for dynamic preview (when they fix that), how many cores are the most effective for any given task, etc. Neat Video lets you choose to automatically apply the best settings as well.

That way, if I have a really long encode coming up for a complex project, I can know I'm not wasting time with the wrong settings.
