Ok. I am sending a 24p widescreen DV NTSC signal via firewire to a Mini DV camera and then from the Camera I am sending an analog NTSC signal to a 4:3 TV. In the Project Properties box I select -NTSC DV Widescreen 24p- as the project template. Now the footage appears squeezed on the TV until I add an effect like Levels and apply it, then it stretches out and appears 16:9. So far, no problems.

However, I shot some widescreen 29.97 footage with a Canon Elura 90 and captured it in Vegas... Now, it also appears squeezed on the 4:3 TV, but when I apply an effect it is still Squeezed- this is the problem.

BTW, the footage is unsqueezed on the computer monitor.

Any suggestions are very appreciated.
