Persistant "newblue" watermark on "NewBlue Titler Pro"

Clay-Kolar wrote on 9/3/2018, 1:59 PM

I just upgraded to Vegas Pro 16.0 and when I try to use the "NewBlue Titler Pro Express" the NewBlue watermark is always present. I had the same problem with earlier versions of Vegas, but I just didn't use it. Paid for this option and want to use it now. I have Windows 10 and a 64bit computer. I have done the "NewBlue" upgrade when I open Vegas 16 and it shows I'm current, but still not a clean title. Any ideas on how to fix?

I think NewBlue Titler Pro Express is not part of any of the Vegas Pro 16 packages. So if you installed it from a package of Vegas Pro 15 or 14 maybe it wasn't licensed from NewBlueFX for any other Vegas version.

Marco, Thank you. I'll go back to my prior versions of Vegas and see if I didn't register the NewBlue plug-in at that time. It sounds like I might have to abandon my thought of using the NB titler going forward, will use another approach for fancier titles. Thanks again.

Titler Pro Express was bundled with Vegas Pro 14. We developed a fix to let it work in 15 but, apparently, it did not also fix it in other versions. So it will have a watermark.

You can always do the titling in VP14 or VP15.

If find the way Magix does this very strange. Never encountered with things like audio VST plugins or other video plugins. If you are supporting Magix by buying their program, and upgrading, plugins should be there to use in the upgrades, as long as compatible.Having learned of this Magix tactic I won't buy their upgrades based any included plugins but will support the plugin dev's directly. Support from places like NewBlueFX and BorisFX is also much more helpful than Magix.

Are there any plans to fix it for 16 too?

No. Magix chose not to include the bundle in 16. It will continue to work fine in 14 and 15 but will watermark in 16. For 16, you would need to upgrade to Titler Pro 6 (which will give you a ton more features) and get a retail serial number which will let you use it in all compatible versions of Vegas as well as other compatible NLEs.

SIMILAR PROBLEM: I have a stand alone license for Title Pro 6. It simply will not work in Vegas 16. If I open Vegas 15 the extension works great. If I open the same file in Vegas 16 it just does not work. Frustrated.

Dominic, please contact NewBlue Tech Support. This does not sound like the same problem. The problem in this topic is a watermark - not "not working". I do have Titler Pro 6 working in Vegas Pro 16 so I do know it does work. But support will help figure out why you are having issues.

Does this apply to NewBlue Essentials as well? I opened a Vegas Pro 14 project that had a NewBlueFX plugin (Color Fixer Pro), and now it has a watermark. Will I have to purchase a full NewBlue Essentials license? Not cheap... $300!!!

Which Video Essentials are you referring to? Video Essentials 6 came bundle with Vegas Pro 13.
