Peter?When recording in vegas video................

if you choose not to keep your take and choose
delete,instead of having nothing on that track,you have an
empty piece left on it.Can this be changed?Vegas pro just
simply left you back where you started.Only reason I ask is
because after that if you need to jump into the track and
overdub past the blank space,you have to pull out the file
to get the new dub that was recorded.Anything I should know
on this?

That happened to me yesterday while using Vegas Video. (I hadn't
noticed before, since I had previously used existing or imported
files, not recorded new ones.) When I deleted the empty piece--my
false start--the rest of the complete take was still there,
underneath it.

I think this is a bug. I mentioned this to them during the public
beta and I suspect this may not have made it before release.
