Philips CDD3600 CD-R

Hi,

I can't get CD Architect to write to my Philips CDD3600 CD-R drive - it doesn't come up as a recognised drive, or
when I select it from the list. I just keep getting an error about changing the media. It works OK with DART Pro
Waveman. Do I need an extra driver for this or something?

Any ideas welcome :)

Cheers

Chris

OK OK! replying to my own post!

I've just finished reading all the other posts to this forum, and most seem to be about CD-R drivers.

So why can't drivers be available separately and auto-installable without a major software upgrade???

I'm currently evaluating SF and CDA and both are excellent except for CDA's inability to write to my CDR :-(

And, seeing as at this present time SF are using this thoroughly silly way of doing CD-R driver upgrades, why not have a demo registration
number as well, so that people like me who are willing to shell out a shit load of money for a great product, but can't use it, can perhaps
recieve an upgrade that includes a relevent driver so that it can be tested/evaluated properly?

Cheers,

Chris.

PS. Idea - pinch the drivers from Adaptec or Ez-CD - they both work OK! ;-)

The Philips 3600 is not supported in CD Architect, using an evaluation
copy or an authorized version. We may be able to add support for this drive
in the future. Our Products section under CD Architect lists all currently
supported CD devices.
