Photo Zoom Plug-in

treborvdrummer wrote on 8/24/2003, 2:44 PM
Anybody know of any plug-ins that would allow a slow zoom effect on still photos?

I have tried the cross zoom transition but it is too fast and is also a transition so it fades to the next shot etc.

I nreally need to spent some time learning the event pan/crop option just have not fugured it out just yet. :) ANy good tutorials out there?

The event pan/crop option is what you want. I'm not aware of any plug ins that will do this.

I imagine you must be having trouble with the keyframes? I can't see how the pan/crop would not be intuitive otherwise. Basicly when you the pan/crop window comes up you just grab a corner of the picture and drag the frame untill it appears the right size in the preview. Then go down the keyframe line, set a new keyframe and change the frame size again to make it like you like in the preview window.

Let us know what you don't understand.

Go to Vegas Tips, Tricks, and Scripts Newsletter and read issue #8.

Ahhh i was going to post a link to those newsletters too :)

Pan/Crop is a must learn for us new vegas users - my tip - when you adjust the size pof something, in the top left hand corner of the preview window is a little icon, click to get the different view at different zoon level - essential for when you have zoom right out and cant see the edges in the preview anymore. Took me a while to find that :)

Where is the link to the current tips and tricks? I have a bookmark of the archive, but it only goes to 8 and I thought there were more.

WOW! You guys are AWESOME!!!!

I got so fired up after reading these I completely overdid my project and now have to go back and tone things down a bit. I kinda overdid the zooming :D

But anyway it was a great excercise in getting the critical capability of VV4 in my skillset.

Many thanks! I love this place!
