What's this got to do with Vegas you ask.
Well I bought an AE training DVD from COW and one of the very cool looking projects starts with PS, that plugin and royalty free 3D images from the Google warehouse. Take Rolex watch and as the animated hands turn the watch goes from a wireframe to a full rendered image, very cool!
Absolutely no reason why you need AE to do this though. The compositing could just as easily be done in Vegas, even the hands can easily be made from gen media and a mask, Drop dead easy to make them turn and the clock wipe over the watch a little bit more work than in AE but still doable.
So here's a simple enough way to add some 3D bling to a Vegas project. If you've got PS CS3 Extended or later not a dime to spend.
