Picture differences between trimmer and actual

Hi,

Does anyone notice a difference in what is shown in trimmer window and actual picture?

I am trying to get snapshots out of frames, and the only way is to do it from preview.
I set preview to best / full.

Yet, I see in the preview what appears to be a combination of two adjacent frames, whereas in the trimmer preview the very same frame is more precise.

I would post the capturing of a screenshot where you can see the 2 preview panel perfectly sized with the same dimension, and one showing a more accurate picture than the other.

Settings:
Shot with Canon Vixia 10F in HD (17mbs). The video property files shows:
Video: 00:00:19.019, 29.970 fps interlaced, 1920x1080x12, AVC
Project properties:
1920 / 1080, 59.940fps or 29.970 (same results)
full resolution rendering quality: best
Deinterlace mothod (any setting would not affect results)

many thanks in advance for any tip!
Cheers

I assume the project is also interlaced.
Maybe the event is not frame aligned, make sure that quantize to frame is selected.

thanks,

I found a solution: add a video bus, add an envelope of motion blur AND, surprisingly, DISABLE the motion blur from the track I want to take the snapshot from.

Yes: disable. Enabling would result in the motion blur effect. Disabling I get rid of the interlaced lines (I assume that's what they are) and get a better picture like frame to be saved as jpg. This looks now like what I see in the trimmer view.

I am not sure I understand exactly why it works, but the important thing is that it does.

Thanks for your reply. I will now check the quantize frame option and check. Hopefully this solves the problem more elegantly than my workaround.

Have a good weekend,
