Picture In Picture Transistion Issue

Clarke wrote on 1/3/2005, 1:19 AM
Hi,
I am trying to impose a picture slideshow over a video clip.

1) The video clip is the 3rd Layer video and it is moving video clip
2) The picture slide show basically is pan-zoomed to about 1/2 of the full screen. I put in on the 2nd layer.

In the transistions between the pictures of the slideshow, I put a page turn over transistion.
To my surprise, the page turn over transistion shows as full screen and not 1/4 'screen' on the picture slideshow.
I checked and the transistions effects is on the correct timeline.

Has anyone faced a similar problem and solution to it?

Thanks in advance for any help rendered.

Hi Clarke,

Cannot try at the moment, but as far as I know, the transition is a separate item on the timeline, and therefore you need to apply the same 'pan & scan' format to the transition as you did to the pictures.

good luck,

Bart

What you may need to do is construct the slideshow as a separate video, full frame, complete with transitions, and render this to a new AVI file. You can then bring this completed AVI file into the larger project and Pan/Crop it to the size you want. I don't know of any way to limit the transitions to a smaller area.
