Picture in picture usage PIP

I have placed some footage to the timeline for pip.

on playing a clip the audio from the pip is heard and not from the existing video track.

Is it possible to mute the audio on th pip footage and to allow the video track audio to be heard only?

Just place only the video without the audio on the PIP track by instead of left-click, right-click dragging the footage to the timeline, the pop-up menu let you choose video only.

Or, when footage is already placed on the timeline, you can ungroup video and audio of the PIP and delete the audio part.
