Picture quality

What gives the best picture quality.
To export your video in Vegas4 as an AVI file (and after DVD architect will compress to the correct format for DVD)

or
To export directly in Mpeg 2 (template PAL DVD architec video stream)
and export the sound in wav file separatly.

???

My guess is they're about the same. Major difference is that if ya want to go back and burn something again, ya wont have to reincode every time. AC3 for sound can also save file space.

Of all the things I'm unhappy about, picture quality is not one of em. Really looks fantastic.
