Picture reflection

How do I achieve a picture or video footage reflection in VP11.
Look at this link. In this AE template there is a picture/clip on the left and credits on the right side. For picture part there is a reflection. Can this be done in VP11?

It was a while back, but I believe there is a tutorial for this on Edward Troxell's newsletter site or on the Vasst tutorial site.

Google "image reflection in Sony Vegas" and you'll get both video and text tutorials.

New blue starter pack "reflections" plug in makes this effect a snap. From memory, it was bundled with VP11. Works a charm.

As mentioned, entirely possible to achieve the same effect with Sony Vegas "mirror" plug in & then opacity gradients and there are some excellent tutorials on Youtube to assist, but compared with the above, it seems like a lot of work.

OK this isn't done from Vegas but checkout Bluff Tittler which has a snazzy reflection FX which pretty awesome.

set up 4 tracks (from top to bottom):
- Track 1: master track. Set composite to 3d. Make it parent of the 3 other tracks.
- Track 2: your footage
- Track 3: Vertical linear gradient from white (on the top) to black. Set composite to multiply
- Track 4: your footage. Flip vertically using pan/crop, then move the image to place it below your footage (using track motion). You can play with opacity to make it more transparent.

Track 1 is not really necessary but very useful to move your reflection on the screen.
