Pictures are solid red in preview pane???

I need some help...want to see if anyone else has had this problem, and what to do to fix it.

I'm working on a photo montage, and I'm using a scripting program by Vasst called StillMotion. It has worked great for me on alot of other projects, but this time I'm having pictures along the timeline show up as solid red, and when I watch the preview, they also look solid red. I have not tried exporting to see if this is just a preview problem because I hate to render for a couple hours for nothing.

Anyone have an ideas?

Here is a thread started by Serena where she has the same problem, but I didn't read a conclusion to the matter.

To do a test render you don't have to render the whole thing- just render a section- 30 seconds or so to see.

Another option would be to directly import the pictures into vegas to see if you get the same results (this way you can see if it is somethign that StillMotion is doing).

What format are your pictures? What size are they? Try png if you are not already using them. Also if the files are big, size them down and see if that does anything. (It may not, but I do things with pictures all the time and have not run into this).

By chance have you recently upgraded or install the new Cineform Connect HD 3.03 program?

Just to report progress on my v3.03 problem: none. Cineform have got an open ticket on it, but been a few days now. I restored the machines to v3.01 and that works. I did the complete uninstall of CF and reinstall of 3.03 without changing bad behaviour. Strange thing is that other people are working 3.03 OK (or so I believe). Grazie pointed out a similar issue on DVM Vegas scripting forums and that was initiated mid-April (before v3.03, I think). My problem seems to be associated with WMP because that fails if try to play an affected clip. Even stranger, not all clips are affected.
