pictures trembling

this is my problem:

I edited a movie with Vegas 4. at the end of the movies I put a sequence of some pictures. A render all as DVD Arch PAL mpeg.
I imported the files in DVDa, made the menu. THe preview is Ok, but if I burn the DVD, when I watch it the pictures in the final sequence show some trembling parts: e.g., if there is a person in the picture, it can happen that his hand is trembling, while the rest of the picture is steady (strange, isn't it? somehow also funny!)
anybody knows how I can solve the problem? any help is appreciated!

When saving the stills in Vegas, set the project to progressive before saving the image. If you have photoshop, you can deinterlace the existing stills.

Thanks for the reply.
The stills were already deinterlaced (they were pictures taken from a digital camera directly imported into vegas).
However I tried the following:
1) set the project to progressive,
2) render as mpeg progressive,
3) mark the box "reduce flickering" inside the media properties

but the final result is still the same :(

what am I doing wrong?!?

sorry.. I was wrong:
the image that gave the problems were mainly taken from vegas and deinterlacing them with Photoshop they work fine. I still have some problems with pictures taken from the digital camera. The problems mainly arise in highly textured parts of the images, anyway I think it could be a problem of the mpeg coding.
sorry again and thanks for the help

Have had the same problem with images from digital camera when encoding them from Vegas to make a slideshow. What I did was to resize the images to the size of your video format (EG 720x576 DVD PAL) then import them to Vegas, apply reduce interlace flicker and encode video. Have had very good results, sometime there is a little flicker on fine lines or highly textured areas but it is a huge improvement.
