Vegas is unusable with my 200MHz MMX processor:(
I am thinking of building a new box, and have some
questions:

Is Vegas optimized for the Pentium III processor,
in particular the 70 new multimedia instructions,
once known as ‘KNI’, now known as ‘SSE’ standing for
‘streaming SIMD extensions’.

Does DirectX support SSE, i.e. will plug-ins and
multi-media work a lot quicker on a PIII?

Does anyone have a benchmark of performance
on PIII as opposed to Celeron? I have seen FP
benchmarks for Celerons match PIII's at the same
MHz.

Finally, does anyone have a benchmark of performance
on dual as opposed to single processor machines, i.e.
how does Vegas scale on NT?
