Pinnacle DV Box probs - Black + White output

Hello
I have a pinnacle box to breakout to my panasonic video monitors for previewing. The only problem is it keeps outputting black and white. I use it on another machine, it outputs color, then vegas crashes. Very strange, works fine on capture. it's the 1394 not the USB version of the Hollywood DV bridge. Really bothers me that this will not work. I think my video camera works fine, and other apps work fine... I don't think it's an IRQ issue...
Running Win2K on an 865 PERL intel MB with 3 GHZ HT with 1 gig ram and sonorus audio card. Any help appreciated...this one's got me stumped...(ocassionally fickers of color will appear...)

That box won't work with Vegas. Pinnacle's stuff is usually proprietary and will only work with software that they have written drivers or plugins for. (premiere for example) You can only capture through the firewire cable attached through the box. But, you can't preview.

I used it for over a year for previewing with Vegas.. that is, if you mean the Pinnacle Movie Box DV (that Porsche-design thing)..

Every once in a while the image turned green, but I'd press reset and it would be ok for an hour..
I also had the color-problem now and then. press that reset button.. or switch to trimmer/track view in Vegas might help as well.

Is this prehaps the box that used to be called the Hollywood Dazzle?
