Pinnacle S7

As an owner of SDV, and a long time user of Pinnacle products (Studio Director 200 introduced me to the world of PC based linear video editing), I was on the list for upgrading to their latest studio release, Studio 7. It comes with a basic package of Hollywood FX, which can be upgraded to a "plus" package of Hollywood FX. There is also a "pro" version of this package.

I've tinkered witht the software, and, so far, am pleased with the results.

My question: seeing as how I'm addicted to SF's way of doing things, can these Hollywoood FX packages be used with VV or no?

To the extent that VV is a keyboard oriented user interface (much more so than any Pinnacle project), this dinosaur will always be partial to SF.

But, the FX included with the S7 package impresses me, so, I would love to use it in VV if possible.

Also, though it may be a low priority on SF's menu of upcoming enhancements, I find VV's capture utility wanting, so, will continue to rely on Pinnacle for capture and otput to DV.

Bottom line: neither of these products will be deleted from this user's HD anytime soon. So, I would like to integrate the Pinnacle stuff with SF, mainly because I prefer the overall feel of SF to Pinnacle.

What say ye?

I see that SF has introduced an upgrade to VF that should address some of my disappointments with the VV capture/print utility.

As soon as I determine what I need do to take advantage of this lates enhancement, I'll do it.

Thanks SF for the enhancement.
