My experience with dvdit is that I bought Uleads MovieFactory. VV3 + MF + Pioneer dvr-104 is a winner.

Also, you may want to check out Dazzle's DVD complete, as talked about in earlier threads (do a search on DVD Complete). It costs $99 US and I purchased it and use it. I have a DVR-104 + VV3 + DVD Complete, and I love it.

my 2 cents,

I don't use a DVR-104 but the thing that DVDit PE has over MF & DVD Complete which is importnat to NTSC users is that it supports AC-3 (Dolby Digital) 2/0 audio. This will save you valueable space in projects due to compressed audio. Menu creation in DVDit is also very much down to your creativity not being so template driven as others . (There is a new version of DVDit ,with motion menus etc due later this year so you may want to hold off). That said it is really buggy for an expensive piece of software and most people have to spend a lot of time & effort getting things running smoothly. You will also find limitations with FFwd speeds etc when viewing discs. Personally I never really got on with MF as having taken a lot of time to work out DVDit I wasn't prepared to go through it all again when I had troubles with it (perhaps I didn't give it a chance as others here love it.) DVD Complete really is easy to use with great results. It depends really on what you are looking to do & if you are doing home movies I'd go with DVD Complete but if it's a business & your looking at outputting a lot of stuff to customers I would skip DVDit PE & look further up the Sonic Solution chain like ReelDVD ($1000 or so)

Personally I love DVDit! but I don't use the program to do the final burn. I render out to the hard drive and then use Prassi to burn the two folders. I have heard some REALLY good things, though, about Ulead's DVD Workshop as it allows you to create animated menu backgrounds which DVDit! PE does not.
