Pioneer DVR-104 Question

I just got a Pioneer DVR-104 and installed it as an external Drive (Firewire or USB-2). I tried to burn 10 minutes of MPEG-2 to a RW disk, using DVD Complete. The green light on the DVR-104 turns yellow for about 10 seconds and then the disk pops out, while DVD Complete announces that the burning is finished. The 10 minutes play properly in DVD Complete's preview mode (when it plays from the HD, before it gets put on the RW disk). I have no idea which part of the setup is not working properly and/or in what sequence to troubleshoot. Is the yellow light an indication that it was burning for those 10 seconds? Or should it have turned red? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

I have the same drive and I turned my drive into an external model with firewire. I only turn it on when I need to burn something. Anyway, I have never seen the light turn red. I have always seen it yellow. You should try a differnt buring software like nero or prassi. Just a suggestion.

Try building an image file with DVD complete & then when that is done try burning the image to disc with the burner.

Also does your -RW disc have any data on it ?
Make sure it is erased.

I built an image with DVD Complete and then burnt it to an -RW and an -R. No go. Then I downloaded the demo version of Ulead DVD MovieFactory and that worked. Now I have some stuttering near the beginning of the 10 minutes. Will now explore various tweaks to see if it makes a difference...
