PIP make picture black, or just removing colors

ErmacShazamoff wrote on 3/30/2025, 4:19 PM

Hello all!

I accidentally discovered the "Picture in Picture" mode. It seems very useful. But for some reason, when applying the effect to any image - almost all colors disappear, the picture becomes 99% black.

with PIP - https://imgur.com/a/YV6xrbf

This is just for example. Anything: picture of any format, video - everything loses color to black after using PIP

RTX 3060
GPU acceleration - OFF

If you need any more information, I'll be glad to provide it. There is no answer on the entire Internet

@ErmacShazamoff Hi,

You've got an RTX 3060, why do you have GPU acceleration - OFF?

It'd be better if you showed the full screen with the Picture in Picture settings in the Video Event FX window.

Does this happen if you choose a different preview option, eg Preview (Full) Good (Full) etc..

----------------

PS. I ask because I try to replicate it but can't with GPU Acceleration on or off, so more info is needed.

Why I disabled GPU acceleration - I read on forums that Vegas lagging when acceleration enabled. I solved the lag problem after finding out that the framerate of my videos wasn't constant like hell. Now i fixed this and forgot about the acceleration point.

Thank you all for your time, but that was the problem. I don't know why, though. I enabled GPU acceleration - my arrow no longer turns black. The issue is resolved
