Pixel size for Wide Screen images

I am trying to create a slide show of still images to be played exclusively on a wide screen plasma monitor via a DVD. In Photoshop, what should the pixel size be for me to create these images?

Depends on whether you are working in PAL or NTSC, funny enough I am doing something similar as I type.

Try setting the preview best full and the dimensions will be shown at the bottom of the preview window

1049 x 576 for PAL Widescreen.
