"Pixel to Pixel ratio" option in capture options?

Just wondering what it means and if I should leave it unchecked? If it helps I am capturing Super VHS onto my PC in Sonic with a DV firewire kit. Thanks!

Actually it's called "Apply pixel aspect ratio". Sorry. Can anyone tell me what that means and if I want it checked or not?
