Pixelan 2.5 is available

I bought Pixelan Spicemaster 2.0 around a month or two ago and I really like it. If anyone bought it in the last few months you may be eligible to get the upgrade to 2.5 (like me- I bought it days for before they announced 2.5 and Pixelan was very good about saying I would get the upgrade gratis).

Anyway, it's a great product as many of you know.

Has anyone noticed a substantial difference between the new Spicemaster Pro version and the previously existing 2.0?

I always look for a What's New section. Often, when there is not one, usually means that not much was added. I don't see a What New section.

2.0 is terrific. Just looking to justify the upgrade...

Thanks.

They have a comparison chart on their site. There seems to be only two new features listed on the Key Features page:

The Amazing MIXER for FILM Dissolves & More (PRO only) --NEW!
Resolution Independent --NEW!
Downloadable --NEW!

I don’t consider downloadable to be a feature. There are also 800 presets instead of the 500 in the 2.0 version so the 300 new spices should be worth something. I just bought SpiceMaster 2.0 in May so I don’t qualify for the free upgrade. If you are getting into HD then the resolution independence will probably make it a worthwhile upgrade.

This is something that Vegas should DEFINITELY do.

Considering it's been less than a year since I bought 2.0, the half point upgrade shouldn't cost anything. Just my opinion.
