I edited a video with cuts only and then rendered it back out to 1080i. After the intro rendered, it went on to state No Recompression as it was M2T to M2T. Once I played that from the hard drive on my HDTV, almost every cut, 1 or a couple of frames are pixelated (like if the tape head was dirty) to the left of the cut. It is not this way on the original footage or on the timeline. All cuts were made using the built in multicam feature. I even took this footage and encoded to standard def wide screen and the artifacts showed up there as well.

I think I read before that smartrender was causing problems. I assume that I will have to turn that feature off until it is working correctly. I see that it has been thoroughly discussed here.
