I need to pixilate some small regions on a video (conceal couple's last name in some wedding demo videos). I'm getting it done, but I'm fairly new to VV, and the way I'm doing it is very cumbersome. I want to find out if I'm making it alot harder than it needs to be.
The only way I've found to do it is to completely clone the video to a track above the original, add a pixelate filter and a cookie cutter filter. I narrow the cookie cutter to a small box over the text to be concealed. Basically, then, this track is a little box of pixelated video that overlays the original video.
What I would like is to be able to have the cookie cutter filter apply to the pixlate filter (i.e. only pixelate the region defined by the cookie cutter) and do it all on one video track. So far, I haven't figured out a way to make that happen.
Am I doing it the best way?
Thanks.
