Here's the situation: I've captured a client's MiniDV tape, raised the audio levels (nothing else), and have tried to print back to MiniDV, using a Sony DHR-1000 for the recording. I'm getting intermittent pixelization -- large and blocky, as well as what looks like tape drop out -- as well as occasional image drop out in which the screen goes entirely to gray, the latter lasting a second or two.
I haven't had this problem before, and used the same DHR-1000 and Firewire cable yesterday to capture two MiniDV tapes which were then encoded and burned to DVD without any problem.
Any idea what could be causing this, and how I might correct it.
Thanks in advance.
Jack
