Pixulated photos, text

Working on project with video, text and photos.
Video is clear and crisp. But all of the added graphics and test are blurry or pixulated.
Playd with settingns in Project Video Properties, but only managed to pixulate entire project,----video too.
Got video back,---but other stuff is still blurry.
Photo are high rez too,---even stuff I've scanned is pixulated when I add it to timeline.
Thinking I've overlooked a setting.
Grateful for any help.

Is your Preview window set to Draft by chance?

Under Options/Preferences/Video, is the "display at project size" box checked?
