Platinum HD 11 is Horrible!!

Bought a legit copy of the entire suite, including Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum HD 11, updated to the latest version of the software itself, microsoft framework, my AMD GPU, etc etc etc...I take good care of the hardware and software of my computer and everything on MY end is good to go...

So why is it that "The Program Has Stopped Working" on multiple multiple multiple occasions?

No word of a lie, just now I tried to add in NOTHING MORE THAN ONE SIMPLE TEXT, no motion involved, just a static text that I planned on messing with keyframes with...tried to change the color and add shadow...then BOOM, the program closes. This has happened on multiple occasions for me and I'm getting pretty damn fed up. I am using build 283 (the latest update ATM) and the release notes of said update was that it fixed an issue of instability when trying to add shadow to text.

Clearly the update has not fixed the issue of instability when trying to add shadow to text!!!!!

My specs are well above what is recommended:
AMD Phenom II 1065t six core processor at 2.9GHz
12GB DDR3 RAM
1GB GDDR5 Radeon HD 6770
Windows 7 64 bit

I can run high end games on this computer at medium to high settings at 60fps and up, yet I can't even add text with shadow to a completely blank timeline in this editing program.

People, do not purchase this software, it is buggy and laggy regardless how powerful your computer may be.

You must have gotten the bad one, P6. It runs flawlessly on my computer, and it's only a Pentium 4.

Problems have been reported on this forum with crashes or memory leaks when using the Shadow on the Titles and Text media generator:

Seems to be specifically related to using the Shadow option. Until this gets fixed in an update, the work-around is apparently to avoid using Shadow in Titles and Text, or to use one of the other titling options (legacy text, etc.)

I've had few problems with VMS Platinum HD 11 especially the latest build other than the shadow problem. I've worked on simple and very complex projects and have little problems. I build my own machines and have a i7 920 with 6 gb of memory on 63 bit Win 7 Professional. I would also search the forum for the "64 bit fix" and do it. This will probably alleviate most of your problems other than the text shadow.

I have not had any trouble with 11 until I read this thread I just went and tried the text all was well until I put a shadow and tried to move it around and BOOM crash.

So stay away from the shadows. Like I said I have had no other trouble so far.
