"Play All"?

I'm creating a demo DVD with individual files on it. I would also like to add a separate "Play All." It would be nice to be able to have a way to select files that would play in sequence, but since that doesn't seem to exist, is there any way I can do this with the exisiting individual files already on the DVD?

Thanks

With DVDA version 2 combine all the mpegs and use in / out points. Make a copy of the main button rather than submenu.
(It does not work like it did in version 1) Then put in out points on the timeline.

DVDA ver 1 you wiould use submenu and insert chapters with in/out points.
The chapters are your scenes in the separate files that were joined together.

Aside from that and if you are adventurous, you can use another program
to edit the control files IFOEDIT. It will allow you more control and you don't
have to join the vob files. It is hard to understand but there was a post
awhile back that explained how to do this.

By "combine mpegs" do you mean render everything together? I'm trying to avoid that. (I have DVDA 2)

I've figured out how I can add media to the project and then create end actions to make my "play all" atring. Trouble is, If I want Video A to be in the Play All as well as by itself on a menu, I have to add it twice, so I can have the two end actions.

It would be nice if project video files were available to be used as the BG media for a page, and if pages had a "Go To" end action available. That way, you could set up the video files on separate pages and create whatever sequence you wanted, having the last one return to the main menu as its end action.

If you add the same media to the disc twice (or 100 times), there will only be one instance of the media put on the disc (in DVDA 2)

You can set up limitless sequences, and have only one copy of the source file(s) on the disc.

You can very easily set up the video files on separate pages and create whatever sequence you wanted, having the last one return to the main menu as its end action.

Unless I'm missing something here, you can do exactly what you want - see Can End Actions to do this? in this forum.

As an added note, it does work more smoothly if:
The play-all version is in one file.
You add the play-all version to the disc as many times as you need (they really are just references, not duplicates)
Adjust the in/out points of the additional references to to give you the individual segments you need.
Adjust the end-actions of the individual segments, and you have the ability to have many sequences with only one source on the disc.

Chris,

Got it now. I did look at that thread earlier, just didn't read down far enough. I've got it working now. Thanks for the help.

It is a great feature, just well hidden! (and not well documented)

Glad to help.
