Playback

I'm not sure if this is a bug or I accidentially changed some setting that I'm not familiar with...
When I position my cursor on the timeline and hit the space bar (to play), nothing happens. The playback rate changes to 1 and the play button is activated, but it does not play. In order for me to playback from the timeline, I have to now use the play button underneath the timeline...I can no longer use the space bar. Another wierd thing is that when I use the play button, it needs to be pressed twice in order for me to get playback on my timeline. OR, I could hit the spacebar once, and then hit the play button once.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago and I had to uninstall and reinstall to fix it and now it's happening again. Anyone know what's going on?

That's a weird one for sure! I can't think offhand on a setting that would do this. There is an option to change the behavior of the enter key, but i can't see how this would change it to require pressing space/play twice.

I can save you from the pain of reinstalling though. Next time you start up Vegas hold down the Ctrl & Shift keys before you click the icon and hold them down until the splash screen shows up. This will reset all Vegas' options and preferences back to the original defaults.
