Playback Cursor in Edit Window

I have a couple of problems:

1. I only use Vegas Pro intensively for a couple of months every 2 years or so, and

2. I am getting old and my memory is getting worse and worse.

I have recently upgraded to the latest version of VP11 and have just started a big editing project.

I am fairly sure I used to be able to click on the edit window during playback, ahead of, or behind, the playback cursor, and that cursor would then hop back or forth to where I clicked and then continue playback.

Well now it doesn't. And I would like it to.

Either I have false memories or an Option has changed or something has changed in the version of VP I have.

Can anyone help to restore me to sanity, please?

Hi John! Good to hear from you.

Now, the Edit Window, would that be the Preview Window? If so you may not have the Transport Toolbar revealed?

If you are talking about directly on the Timeline, then I haven't been aware of an option to turn that off? However, always willing to learn.

As to your sanity, well, I charge for that.

Cheers

Grazie

Thanks Grazie

Yes it's in the timeline not the preview window.

It's my memory at fault, of course. I was clicking in the wrong bit of the window.

I was clicking in an empty track. If I click ABOVE the timeline, it does what I want it to.

If you had not made me check what it was I was trying to do, I would have carried on driving myself up the wall.

Next problem, please...... or attack of memory failure. Thanks.
