Playback+Display 2 video's at once in Vegas?

We want to playback and display multiple video's at once... in sync... as shot from multiple cam's...

so we can make choices about which shot is best moment to moment...

1 - Is there a way to set Vegas up to do this...
a - all on the same screen (split-screen) at once?
b - using multiple displays?

2 - If not, how would you guys suggest we do this? (All the video will already be captured and on hard disk.)

3 - If you sync them with a clap board at the start... will they stay in sync?

thanks for any help.

Yes you can do a split screen, such as two different camera angles during a wedding ceremony. Set the two different video streams up on two seperate video tracks. Use track motion (there is an icon on the video track) to drag the video to one side of the viewable screen, do the same for the other respectively. Use the pan/crop option to correct the focus on the track. This should get you the split screen effect you want.

For these tasks there is no better way to do this than with one of these great plugs that do this even better and easier.!!
Having the abitly to do live switching, ie: once they have set up and synced all your cams , you can literaly select wich cam you want on the main video track as its playing!
Excalibur,Ultimate S, Infiniticam. Check them out for sure to do what you are looking for, they make it a snap!
check out the demos and tutorials.
Plus each one offers a bundle of different other tools you will find usefull, for many other tasks in editing with Vegas!
Personally , I own Both Ult S and Excalibur.

Use track motion to resize one or more of the camera views.

There are a a few VERY nifty ways to do multiple camera edits with Vegas. Check out Excalibur and Ultimate S.

These all look good.

Next question... Instead of viewing them all on a single screen...

Can you feed each one to a seperate monitor instead of displaying them all on a single monitor?

Not that we will do that but it would be a nice option.

That is not an option.
