playback of movie

after rendering movie made of still images and playing it back in media player or quick time the picture quality is terrible.what am i doing wrong?

Can you give specifics about how you rendered it?
Resolution, file type, frame rate, etc?
Also specifics on machine used to render and play?
I just finished doing a 15 minute video from still photos and it rendered very well, smooth and sharp. I used AVI format, multimedia 15fps, 720x480 resolution and then output it to VHS video tape. Worked fine.
