Hello all:
I'm a newbie member on these forums, and I'm also new to using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8, so pardon my ignorance. Also, based on posts I've read from other members it seems helpful if I list what my system is comprised of, and what I am trying to do, in order to get a better answer. So thanks in advance, and I hope I don't sound too silly.
The video footage and digital images (photographs) that I'm editing in Vegas is mainly coming from two sources: a Canon HV20 camcorder and a Canon Powershot (4mp) digital camera, respectively.
My computer is equipped with the following: an Intel (3.0) P4 Processor (w/ hyperthreading); a Western Digital 320GB (7200) Hard Drive; 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM; a 256MB ATI RADEON X1300 Pro Video Card; Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 SE Sound Card; and a 20" Dell 2007WFP Monitor.
Now to my question: I am trying to drop a video clip on one track and overlay another video clip on a different track, to get a cloaning effect. What could I be doing wrong because only one video will play? Perhaps my computer does not have the specs to accomplish this task or is this a limitation in the software? Any help would be much appreciated.
One last thing, I can overlay text and/or pictures over a video track, but not two videos.
